Our members have been working hard to promote and assist Republican candidates, to register many new voters and get out the vote during early and regular voting. If you haven't already done so, remember to cast your own ballots on November 4th!

Program for Nov. Meeting

Please join us at our next meeting, November 25th, 11:30 am - 1 pm at the Onward & Upward building, 4709 Bosque in Waco. We will honor all veterans for their service through the "Thankful for Our Veterans Program" and welcome as our guest speaker, Dr. Charlie Clark, D.D.S., who served as a combat surgeon in Iraq and treated Saddam Hussein upon his capture.

Donation Focus for Nov. Meeting

At the November meeting, we will again be asking members to bring school supplies to donate to American forces building schools in Iraq. All school supplies are included on the please-donate list except for crayons. These efforts are part of our "Caring for America" project work.

Proposed Bylaws Change

At the November meeting we will be voting on a bylaws change that was proposed last month. The effect of the bylaws change would be to extend the current one year term for officers and committee chairpersons to a two year term. A two year term would enhance MCRW's progress toward meeting strategic goals set at the local, state, and national levels.

Section 5: Term of Office:

The term of office for officers and chairmen shall be two years. Officers and chairmen may serve in the same position for two consecutive terms.
