McLennan County Republican Women’s Club presents its
2012 Candidate Forum
7 to 9 pm
Thursday, February 23
Wardlaw Training Center
2725 Texas Central Parkway, Waco

Candidates for the following contested races will speak:

   10th Court of Appeals
   State Board of Education
   State Representative Districts impacting McLennan County
[currently Districts 56 & 57 and/or possibly new district 12 – subject to change with court opinions]
   County Sheriff
   County Tax Assessor/Collector
   County Chairman for Republican Party
Candidates for the following offices will be introduced and be available to meet with those who wish to learn more about the candidate:

   County Commissioner Precincts 1
   County Commissioner Precinct 3
   Justice of the Peace, Precinct 1, Place 1
   Constable, Precinct 1
   Constable, Precinct 4
   Constable, Precinct 5
   Constable, Precinct 8

Our Objectives

McLennan County Republican Women is an association of Republican Women with these objectives:

Provide strength and unity for political action within the Republican Party of Texas.
Actively support Republican candidates.
Encourage Republican women to run for office.
Train membership to become effective Republican Party workers.
Cooperate with the Party organization by undertaking special assignments, campaign projects and working during the Primary Elections and General Elections.
Plan local and statewide meetings to broaden and unify the interest and education of its members.
Offer a source of year-round service by Republican Women volunteers.
Inform our members and the electorate through political education. Providing legislative information when possible.
Publish political action materials.
Provide a liaison between members, the State Legislature and Congress regarding specific legislation.
